About Mindy

Mindy Rice Withrow is a communications strategist and storytelling coach headquartered in Perrysburg. After starting her career in higher education marketing and development, she spent 15 years as a marketing agency leader and corporate consultant, developing brand and marketing strategies for universities, hospitals, financial institutions, and manufacturing companies.

In 2024, she founded Mindy Media, a consultancy that partners exclusively with mission-driven organizations. By guiding them in effective communications, she helps them inspire their communities to take meaningful action together.

A passionate birder and native plant gardener, conservation is close to her heart. She chairs the board of directors of the Black Swamp Bird Observatory, a research-based nonprofit that hosts the world-renowned Biggest Week in American Birding festival on the shores of Lake Erie every spring. She frequently combines her love for birds and travel, and has birded on every continent except Australia.
