The Erie Shores Council provides a values-based, character education program for more than 3,000 youth in the greater Toledo community, including Cub Scouts (K-5th grades), and Scouts BSA (6th-12th grades). The Council also offers Exploring and Venturing, co-ed programs for youth ages 14-20, to explore fields of career interest or participate in high adventure activities.

The Council engaged MadAveCollective to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan aimed at increasing awareness of the programs available and supporting recruitment efforts.

Digital Advertising

We established a Google Ads Nonprofit Grant Account for the organization in mid-2021 that has given the Council a larger presence in search engine results. Between 2021 and 2023, the Council received $4,245.70 in grant funds through this program.

We've also designed display advertising campaigns for events and recruitment.

Social Media Management

MadAveCollective has helped the Erie Shores Council team plan their monthly social media content since 2019 with efforts focused primarily on Facebook.

Comparing June 2023-May 2024 to the previous period, the volume of content published increased 26%. The increase in published content had very positive effect on page visibility and organic reach increased 2,400%.

There was also an increase in overall content interactions (+19%) and follower interactions (+154%).

Graphic Design

MadAveCollective has also assisted with the Council’s graphic design needs, developing direct mail pieces for events, creating templates for email communications, and more.

These coloring page designs for camp events were a hit with the kids and helped keep the events top-of-mind for parents, leading to increased registrations.

“Working with MadAveCollective has been an absolute delight. Jessica is incredibly talented as a Marketing Manager, merging fiscal responsibility with creative execution. She also brings a level of ease and fun to the process.”
